Driver facing stunt driving charges after Bradford traffic stop

On Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021 at 12:50 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop on Canal Road in Bradford after a vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed. A speed measurement of 93km/h in a posted 50km/h zone was registered.

As a result of the investigation, 44-year-old Dwain Bastien of Barrie was charged with operation while prohibited, driving while under suspension, stunt driving, speeding and cannabis readily available. His licence was suspended for 14 days and his vehicle impounded for 45 days.

The accused was released with a future court date.
