INNISFIL - South Simcoe Police Service officers continue to investigate the cause of a serious head-on collision in Innisfil.
Around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, police, Innisfil Fire and Rescue Service and County of Simcoe Paramedics responded to a two-vehicle collision on the 9th Line. The head-on collision involved a sedan and a pickup truck.
Six people including three children were taken to hospital.
A man and a child were in the pickup truck. A man, a woman and two children were in the sedan.
Here is the latest on the injured:
- One child has been released from hospital
- One child has been transported by land ambulance to a Toronto hospital
- One child is being treated in hospital for minor injuries
- Male driver of pickup truck has minor injuries
- Male driver of sedan is in serious but stable condition
The road has been re-opened. Further updates will be provided when information becomes available.
