INNISFIL - A 41-year-old Innisfil man was charged after South Simcoe Police Service officers recently responded to a domestic dispute.
An Innisfil woman reported to police that she had been assaulted by her estranged husband who had also damaged their home. As a result of investigation, a 41-year-old Innisfil man surrendered at the North Division.
He was charged with two counts of assault, one count of mischief and released.
As is our practice, officers discussed a safety plan with the victim and provided contacts for our community partners in Victim Services. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
