Innisfil man faces impaired driving charges following collision

INNISFIL - A 31-year-old Innisfil man is charged with impaired driving and over 80 following a two-vehicle collision.

On Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 around 6:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a collision on Yonge Street just north of Highway 89. Simcoe County Paramedics and Innisfil Fire and Rescue Services had assessed the drivers and determined there were no injuries. When speaking with one of the drivers, police detected an odour of alcohol. The man was arrested at the scene and transported to South Division where further testing resulted in readings of nearly three times the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, the man was charged with impaired driving and over 80. His licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
