INNISFIL - South Simcoe Police are happy to announce that missing person, Kenneth Armstrong was located safe in a wooded area off the 9th Line of Innisfil shortly before 11 a.m. today.

An extensive search had been conducted over the past 36 hours involving officers from South Simcoe Police, Barrie Police, the Ontario Provincial Police, York Regional Police, Go Transit Safety and Security, Innisfil Fire and Rescue Services and the Georgian Bay Volunteer Search and Rescue.

The search came to a successful conclusion when a citizen located Armstrong and contacted police. Armstrong has been taken to hospital as a precaution, but appears to be in good health.

"This is great example of how collaborative partnerships result in a successful conclusion."
