On Friday, July 20 at approximately 15:04 hrs, while conducting radar on Church Street, Cookstown, a vehicle was observed travelling 122 km/h in a posted
40 km/h Community Safety Zone.
The driver was charged with stunt driving and speeding - 82 km/h over the posted speed limit.
The 44-year-old males' drivers licence was suspended for seven days and his Corvette has been impounded for seven days as well.
Police are reminding citizens to drive with extra care during heavy congested roadways leading up to the weekend.
