Man will appear in Bradford court for slew of drug charges

TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ADJALA-TOSORONTIO & ESSA TOWNSHIPS - Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit arrested a male in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.

On Jan. 8, 2022 the Nottawasaga Community Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant in Adjala-Tosorontio Township as part of an investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a male resident of Adjala-Tosorontio Township was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of a schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Other drugs
  • Traffick in schedule I substance - Cocaine

Police seized a quantity of drugs with a street value of approximately $3,000. Canadian currency and other drug trafficking paraphernalia was also seized.

The accused was released and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford in February, 2022.
