Money stolen from pumpkin stand

TOWNSHIP OF ADJALA-TOSORONTIO - On Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at approximately 7 p.m., officers of the Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a report of a male person being caught in the act of removing money from a self-serve pumpkin stand in the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio.

Owners of the pumpkin stand suspected that money was being stolen from this venue and decided to observe it. The accused arrived at the stand and was caught in the act of tampering with the cash box.

A 47-year-old male from Everett, has been charged with Theft Under $5,000.and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000. The male was released on a Promise to Appear, and will make a court appearance on Nov. 15, 2018.
