INNISFIL - On Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 around 2:00 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to a home in the Jans Boulevard and Anna Maria Avenue area of Alcona for a report of a fight.
Police attended and while speaking with two intoxicated men, one of them became aggressive and was arrested.
During the arrest, police were assaulted.
As a result, a 33-year-old Innisfil man was charged with cause a disturbance and two counts of assault police.
He was eventually released with a court date in January.
