Police continue search for vehicle involved in fatal hit and run

SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP - On May 5, 2018, just before 6 a.m. officers from the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of County Road 53 (Wilson Drive) and Carson Road, Springwater Township.

The pedestrian, 28-year-old Dominik Andrew Adamek, was pronounced deceased at the scene and the driver of the involved motor vehicle failed to remain.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Huronia West OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Paula Milne of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

So far, investigators have been able to determine the vehicle being sought is magnetic grey-coloured, four-door, 2011-2013 Toyota Corolla CE or LE with damage to the right side (passenger) from the front headlight assembly to the rear door area. The search for this motor vehicle is continuing.
