Police investigating after pedestrian injured by two hit-and-run vehicles

The 65-year-old was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries

The South Simcoe Police Service is seeking the public's help after a pedestrian was injured by two hit and run vehicles in Bradford.

On Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 at 7 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Holland Street West and West Park Avenue for a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. Once on scene, officers learned that a 65-year-old Bradford woman was struck while crossing westbound at West Park Avenue on Holland Street West. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene at a high rate of speed eastbound on Holland Street West.  While eastbound on Holland Street West, the suspect vehicle failed to stop at several red lights. The woman was then struck by a second vehicle that fled the scene southbound on West Park Avenue.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries and has subsequently been transferred to a Toronto trauma centre.  

The investigation is ongoing.
