Police lay 5 impaired charges over Canada Day weekend

South Simcoe Police Service charged five people with impaired over the Canada Day weekend; three arrests happened in one day

The South Simcoe Police Service recently charged five people with impaired driving-related offences, including three arrests in one day over the Canada Day weekend.

On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at approximately 7:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop on Yonge Street in Churchill in the Town of Innisfil. As a result of an investigation, Mark Nadolinski, 31, of Toronto, was charged with 

  • Operation while impaired, 
  • Operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol
  • Speeding and driving motor vehicle without licence

The accused's licence was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at approximately 10:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a citizen-initiated driving complaint in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and St. Johns Road in the Town of Innisfil. As a result of an investigation, Ashley Davis, 35,  of Springwater, was charged with 

  • Operation while impaired by drug 
  • Obstruct peace officer 
  • Driving while under suspension 

The accused's licence was suspended for 90 days, and her vehicle impounded for seven days.  

On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at approximately 5:50 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a citizen-initiated driving complaint in the area of Highway 400 ONroute in the Town of Innisfil.  As a result of an investigation, Terry Rodrigues, 41, of Brampton, was charged with several offences, including: 

  • Dangerous operation 
  • Operation while impaired and 
  • Operation while prohibited by order under the criminal code  

The accused's licence was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle impounded for 45 days.

On Sunday, June 26, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Yonge Street and the 7th Line in the Town of Innisfil.  As a result of an investigation, Johanan Harrison, 36, of Innisfil, was charged with 

  • Operation while impaired and 
  • Operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol.

The accused's licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

On Friday, June 24, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m., police responded to a citizen-initiated driving complaint in the area of Holland Street West and Professor Day Drive in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.  As the result of an investigation, Aaron McLeod, 32, of Georgetown, was charged with 

  • Operation while impaired  
  • Operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol

The accused's licence was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
