South Simcoe Police Service is urging residents to protect their vehicles from thefts with a few simple precautions.

It only takes seconds for a thief to enter an unlocked vehicle and steal items left inside or even take the vehicle itself. Please don't make your vehicle an easy target.

    •   Never leave valuables in your vehicle and make sure the doors are locked
    •   Never leave your vehicle unattended while it is running
    •   Park in a garage if you have one, and lock the door as well as your vehicle
    •   Never leave your car keys or key fob behind in the vehicle when parked

We urge you to report vehicle entries to police and send us your security video. Always remember to "Lock It Or Lose It," wherever you park. You can play a role in preventing this type of crime.
