Police seek suspects in gas theft investigation

A male driver and a female passenger are being sought

South Simcoe Police Service officers are seeking the public's help to identify two suspects following a gas drive-off in Bradford.

On Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019 at 12:14 p.m., police were called to a gas station on Bridge Street in Bradford for a report of a theft of gas that had occurred just after midnight. A male driver and a female passenger are being sought.

Investigation revealed that the female exited a vehicle, pumped gas, got back inside the vehicle which then left the gas station. Neither the driver nor the passenger made any attempt to pay for the gas.

Suspect vehicle: Grey, four-door Volkswagen Jetta

Male suspect: White, wearing a white baseball cap

Female suspect: White, dark hair, wearing a dark green coloured parka with a fur lined hood and a patch/emblem on the left sleeve; the hood was up on the female's head; white leggings/tights and a white shirt and tan knee high boots

Investigators are releasing security camera images in an attempt to identify the suspects.
