ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is committed to reflecting the diversity of the communities it serves, which includes women. However, despite the organization's best efforts to attract more women to uniform roles, they are still under-represented in frontline policing, making up only 21.91 per cent of the organization's 5,500 uniform members.
This International Women's Day, the OPP aims to change that. They plan on hiring 400 police officers this year, and have invited women from across Canada to attend an event. They include:
- March 8, 2023 (Orillia, ON) - Practice PREP and yoga session
- March 8, 2023 (Welland, ON) - Information session
- March 8, 2023 (Ottawa, ON) - Information session
- March 12, 2023 (Brampton, ON) - OPPortunities for everyone session
- March 16, 2023 (Virtual) - Information session
- March 27, 2023 (North Bay) Information session
