RIDE check leads to impaired driving charges for Bradford man

Charges laid minutes after police set up RIDE check Thursday

A Bradford man is facing impaired driving charges after being stopped at a RIDE check Thursday.

The South Simcoe Police Service set up a RIDE check on Canal Road at Simcoe Road at about 10:35 p.m. Ten minutes in, a driver was charged.

The 53-year-old man has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol). His licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
