INNISFIL - South Simcoe Police Service would like to advise the public that a snowmobile reported stolen to us on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019 has been recovered. Further details to follow tomorrow. Thank you to everyone for your assistance.

INNISFIL - On Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to a report of a theft of a snowmobile in Innisfil. The victim said he was riding his snowmobile in the evening of Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 when around 11:30 p.m. he had a crash and was unable to move the sled.

The man believed the crash occurred about one kilometre off shore in Alcona by the 7th Line. He walked home but when he returned the next day to retrieve the machine it was gone.

The stolen snowmobile is a 2016 Yamaha SR Viper LTX SE.
