South Simcoe Police Service is proud to announce the selection of our Junior Chiefs For The Day 2019.

On Thursday, June 13, 2019, Chris Hadfield Public School student Kihana Zahiree and Goodfellow Public School's Kayley Spiers will get an inside look at the South Simcoe Police Service during a fun-filled and educational day as top cop.

The two Chiefs were chosen out of dozens of entries in our Junior Chief For the Day essay-writing contest that was open to Grade 7 students in Bradford West Gwillimbury and Innisfil. Students were asked to explain why they wanted to be Chief for a day. Kayley wants to meet the officers that work where she lives because she's grateful she can walk around town and be safe. Kihana arrived in Canada from Afghanistan eight months ago and wants to become a police officer.

The Junior Chiefs have a packed schedule that begins at the North Division in Innisfil.
