Teens facing theft charges after golf carts stolen from course

Four golf carts were taken over a two-day span. While at the course investigating, police received a tip that the carts were being driven in a neighbourhood

Two teens have been charged with stealing golf carts from a Bradford golf course.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, around 9 a.m., police were called to a golf course in the Line 6 and Simcoe Road area. Upon arrival, police learned that a total of four golf carts were stolen in two separate incidents between Oct. 23, 2020 and Oct. 24, 2020. While on scene, officers received a call from a witness who reported seeing golf carts being driven in the Line 6 and Zima Parkway area. Police responded immediately and made two arrests.  

Two 15-year-old boys from Bradford were each charged with theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and mischief. They were released with future court dates. The carts were recovered and returned to the course with minor damage.
