Officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a shoplift and are requesting the public's assistance to identify two people.
On November 27, 2024, Nottawasaga OPP responded to a shoplift incident at a LCBO located at 55 Queen Street South in Tottenham. Shortly before 10:30 a.m., two individuals were seen entering the store and taking $1400 worth of Johnnie Walker alcohol then exiting the store with no attempt to pay.
Officers are looking to identify the two individuals. See attached photographs from video surveillance. If you know this individual, please call 1-888-310-1122 (reference number E241572693). In a separate incident at the same store on Dec. 6, police say three suspects entered the LCBO outlet shortly before 2 p.m., picked up three empty baskets and filled them with alcohol before leaving without allegedly making any attempt to pay.
The items taken, according to investigators, included a bottle of Jose Cuervo Especial Gold Tequila ($75.95), two bottles of Hennessy vs. Cognac ($74.80), two bottles of Hennessy vs. Hero ($74.95), two bottles of Tanqueray London Dry Gin ($72.05), one bottle of Jose Cuervo Especial Gold Tequila ($56.45), three bottles of Casamigos Tequila Blanco ($84.95), two bottles of Forty Creek Barrel Select Whiskey ($69.95), and a bottle of Appleton Estate V/X Signature Blend ($71.45).
This is a total loss of $1,043.70.
The suspects are described as a "brown" male with a moustache, between 30 and 40 years old wearing blue pants, a green jacket white shoes; a white male with a moustache, 30 to 40 years old, wearing a blue jacket, blue flat cap and black shoes; and a white female, approximately 30 years old, wearing a red hoodie and black/white jacket.
