Three face impaired driving charges in unrelated incidents

South Simcoe Police Service officers laid a number of impaired-driving related charges over the weekend.

A 67-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with over 80 and driving while under suspension after officers located a vehicle stopped on St. Johns Road in Innisfil facing north in the southbound lane.

A 50-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with impaired operation and over 80 after police were called about a vehicle driving erratically without its lights on in the Innisfil Beach Road and 20th Sideroad area of Alcona. Breath tests resulted in readings of more than double the legal limit of alcohol.

A 25-year-old Innisfil woman was charged with impaired operation and over 80 after police received a call about a vehicle driving erratically at a high rate of speed that ended up striking a small tree in the 20th Sideroad and Lormel Gate area of Innisfil. There were no injuries.

In each of the above cases, the drivers' licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
