Twisted metal at 5th Line and Highway 27 (3 photos)

No injuries reported

Roads were closed for about half an hour this morning for yet another collision at the intersection of 5th Line and Highway 27 in Bradford.

The two-vehicle collision happened at approximately 9 a.m. between a westbound vehicle and a southbound vehicle.

South Simcoe Police on scene said the collision was minor with no serious injuries.

This intersection has seen its share of carnage since the new ramps were opened this summer from Highwy 400 onto 5th Line.

There are no stop lights at the intersection and the stop is only two-way for east/west traffic.

Currently, the 80 km/h speed limit is reduced to 60 km/h due to construction in the area and there is a warning sign indicating the blind intersection.
