MIDLAND - On Sept. 15, 2018, members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to investigate the theft of an urn from a business on Elizabeth Street in the town of Midland.

The urn containing the ashes of a young child belonging to the victim was stolen between Tuesday, Sept. 11 and Friday, Sept. 14, 2018.

The urn is described as being ceramic, blue in colour with lighter blue coloured butterflies and flowers on the sides and top, brown base with a gold rim on the lid. 

Anyone having knowledge of the whereabouts of this urn or persons who may be in possession of it is asked to please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
