INNISFIL, ON - A 37-year-old Barrie man is charged with careless driving and public intoxication after a single-vehicle collision in Innisfil.
On Thursday, July 27, 2018, just before midnight, South Simcoe Police Service received a call from a citizen for a single vehicle into the north
ditch of Mapleview Drive at 20th Sideroad. The caller did not witness the crash. When officers arrived, they found a man walking westbound away from the vehicle.
As a result of investigation, the man was charged public intoxication and careless driving.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately
