Victim's jaw broken in assault outside local pub

The suspect is a black male, aged 30 to 35, with a medium build and a moustache.

York Regional Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect after a person was kicked in the face and had their jaw broken in an attack outside the Grey Goat Pub and Grill on Main Street Newmarket last month. 

Crime Stoppers York Region released a photo of a man wanted in connection with the Aug. 15 incident at 74 Main St. South,  where several men were initially engaged in a verbal altercation. 

The victim was then punched and knocked to the ground where the suspect then kicked them in the face, breaking their jaw, police said. 

The suspect, who is wanted for assault causing bodily harm, was seen on surveillance footage from the bar. 

He is described as a black, male, aged 30 to 35, with medium build and a moustache. 

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt with the number 23 on the left shoulder, and two chains.
