VIDEO: Police identify suspect vehicle in February shooting in Schomberg

The victim continues to go through a lengthy recovery process, police said

Investigators released new video and information about a vehicle used by suspects in a drive-by shooting in the Town of Schomberg in February.

The victim, a 65-year-old man, was walking his dog on Centre Street, between Rebellion Way and Church Street at 8:40 a.m. on Feb. 12.

A vehicle drove by him at a high rate of speed and multiple gunshots were fired at him from the vehicle. He was struck several times.

The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition and police said he continues to go through a lengthy recovery process.

The suspect vehicle fled the area, again at a high rate of speed. Investigators have since determined that there were two suspects in the vehicle. They have also found that the vehicle is a white 2021 Lexus RX-350 with Ontario licence plate CXAK 183. It was reported stolen from Toronto.

Police have released video and images of the vehicle and are asking the public to be on the lookout for it and to contact investigators with information about its location as recovering it would aid in the investigation.
