Nottawasaga OPP have laid weapons, drug charges against two men

Two area men face weapons and drug charges following a Nottawasaga OPP investigation.

On Sept. 6 police seized a loaded firearm, 10.5 ounces of cocaine, 1,000 Xanax pills, 811 grams of marijuana and ammunition.

A 20-year-old Essa Township man faces 13 charges related to weapon and drug offences, OPP said.

A 19-year-old New Tecumseth man faces eight charges linked to weapons, drugs and failing to comply with a prohibition order, said OPP.

Both men were held pending a bail hearing.
