Hairstylist Adriana McNeill-Salinas endured one of the longest lockdowns imposed on any profession in Ontario. For months, she wondered if her business, Adriana’s Hair Salon in Bradford could survive. When the restrictions on salons were finally lifted, Adriana was dealt another blow.
She said, “Imagine my shock when after enduring four shutdowns, I was told by my landlord with 30 days notice, he would not be renewing my lease.”
Adriana’s Hair Salon was an established business in Bradford. Adriana had been styling hair for 23 years. Her clients love Adriana and she did not want to let them down.
But how was she going to find a new location for her hair salon in a matter of weeks? Adriana posted her story on social media and was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support. “It was so beautiful to see how many people reached out to me because they knew I only had four weeks to find a new place.”
Kathleen Gilligan, the owner of Timeless Harmony Salon & Spa in Newmarket saw Adriana’s post on Facebook and invited her to view their space. Adriana immediately connected with Kathleen and saw a wonderful opportunity at Timeless Harmony. She said, “I wanted to be able to work and be part of a team. I’m so grateful to Timeless Harmony for the opportunity to work with professional staff. I want to thank Kathleen for opening the door to me, to work together and help each other.”
In addition to hairstyling services, clients at Adriana’s Hair Salon can also enjoy the spa services offered at Timeless Harmony, such as manicures, pedicures, facials and massages performed by a registered massage therapist.
