The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is excited to announce plans for Canada Day, with an amazing lineup of music, entertainment and fireworks. BWG residents can enjoy the day safely either by streaming these shows from home or by attending in person with COVID-19 protocols in place. Registration for in-person attendance opens Monday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m.
The day will begin with a drive-thru event packed with amazing performances. Enjoy live music from Shania Twin and Five Against One (a Pearl Jam cover band), as well as entertainment from buskers Hoop You, Steve Goodtime, Jenny Jupiter, Scarlett Black and many other exciting activations. The Bradford Lions Club will be serving hotdogs and beverages as a community fundraiser; cash donations will be accepted.
Pre-registration for this event is required, and residents can choose from 30-minute timeslots running between 11am-1:30pm and 4:30-7:00pm. A shuttle is available by request only for residents who do not have access to a vehicle. Due to limited spaces, registration is open to BWG residents only and walk-ins will not be permitted. The show will also be available to view through the Town’s Facebook page (a link will be provided; Facebook membership not required).
The Town’s Canada Day celebration will end with a drive-in fireworks show in the BWG Leisure Centre parking lot at 471 West Park Ave. Just like a drive-in movie, participants can bring snacks and watch the beautiful display from the comfort of their vehicle. Due to limited spaces, registration is required and is open to BWG residents only. Walk-in attendance will not be permitted at the Leisure Centre due to gathering restrictions. The show will also be livestreamed on Facebook.
This event is made possible with the generous support of Heritage Canada and sponsorships from the following businesses: Reali's No Frills, Tim Hortons, Magna International and Bradford Rental.
