Convert VHS, cassette and vinyl to digital

Convert VHS tapes, cassette tapes and vinyl to digital media files for free at the Library! The Library’s Digitization Station contains equipment needed to convert to digital files that are playable on computers, smartphones, tablets and other digital media players. Once converted to a digital format, it’s easy to duplicate and share the file with friends and family.

This is a self-serve workstation and the Library has provided step-by-step guides to make your digital conversion as easy as possible. It is recommended that you have basic computer skills when using the Digitization Station. If you wish to convert vinyl or would like help you can book a Tech Appointment with Lucinda, the Library’s Tech Tutor.

The equipment and software used to digitize vinyl is not as user-friendly as the others. As a precaution, the Library has decided to make vinyl conversion by appointment only. To make an appointment to digitize a vinyl record, contact Lucinda, the Library’s Tech Tutor.

For information, please visit the Library’s website HERE or contact Lucinda at or 905-775-3328 ext. 6126.
