Hydrant flushing is an annual program of the Town of BWG’s Water Division. Over the course of the year, water is run at every hydrant to ensure a clean and fresh water supply for our municipal water customers.
This notice is to advise that flushing has been scheduled as follows:
Water hydrants located between Holland Street to the north and Line 6 to the south, bounded by Sideroad 10 to the west and Melbourne Street to the east.
January 13 through 31, Mondays to Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
HOW YOU MAY BE AFFECTED:
Should you experience discoloured water, please run your laundry tub tap or bathtub tap for up to 10 minutes. If the water does not clear, please call our office at 905-775-5369 ext. 2300, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm.
We undertake the work on an area-by-area basis, but as the work may affect adjacent areas, we ask all customers to be patient during this time.
For emergency water-related issues after hours (such as a water main break), please contact the South Simcoe Police Station at 905-775-3311 and they will contact the Town’s on-call staff.
Thank you for your continuing assistance and cooperation.
