When the pandemic struck in March, it left a community of yarn crafters without a place to connect. The BWG Library quickly stepped in and the group went virtual!  For the last year, Knit Happens has met through Zoom meetings, where knitters can once more share project ideas, ask questions, trade tips and chat while working on their handiwork.

BWG Library staff members Nina and Heidi began Knit Happens five years ago as a place for knitters to gather in a relaxed environment. The group has grown and are always ready to welcome newcomers to join share their expertise and friendship.Heidi describes the program as “a nice social outing where we can all get together, knit, discuss our projects and share some laughs!"

Join the next session of Knit Happens, taking place Tuesday, April 6 at 6:30p.m., by emailing [email protected].  Knitters of all skill levels, 10 years of age and older, are welcome to attend. Participants will be sent login information to connect using the Zoom platform prior to events.

If you are new to Zoom, check out the BWG Library’s step-by-step tutorial that demonstrates the simple steps to join a Zoom meeting.
