Kids Great Minds programs help youth explore interest in technology

There are 10 different offerings in the Kids Great Minds series coming up this winter. Here are just a few of them:

ONLINE Intro to JAVA Programming

Sundays, January 13 - March 3, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

(Ages 12-16 years)

Participants will be introduced to the fundamental principles of object-oriented programming in a fun and engaging environment! Participants will create 3D games and animations using a drag and drop interface. This is a beginner level course that will help with the transition into text based coding in Java.

 ONLINE Mobile App Development

Sundays, January 13 - March 3, 9:30 - 11 a.m.

(Ages 11-15 years)

Participants will learn how to design, program and test their own Apps for iPhones, Android and Windows' mobile devices. They will use a cross-platform app creation tool allowing students to learn coding concepts in a fun and engaging way. At the end of the program, students will be able to show off their newly created apps.

Computer Animation (Beginner)

Tuesday, January 15, 5 - 8 p.m.

(Ages 6-10 years)

Participants will get the opportunity to be introduced to the creative world of computer animation and learn the basics of animation design. At the end of the workshop, children have experienced first-hand the potential for what great animators they could become!
