Miss Andrea has created a whole new program to reach children who might be phasing out of Storytime, including older children or tweens. The Online Creative Time series offers the same type of creative activities that were found in the Library’s in-person creative programs, like Fun with Fabrics, Creative Activities, Art Attack and Crafternoons.

If your child is 8 to 12 years old, and you’re having a hard time keeping them entertained and engaged, check out this online program that walks young crafters through a different creative project each week. Suggestions for alternate materials and techniques are included, so that no matter what skill level your family is at and whatever supplies you have around the house, everyone can participate!

Online Creative Time is designed with parents in mind. Miss Andrea knows that creative crafts can be difficult to pull together, especially when you are working with an entourage of little people. The projects she demonstrates are simple enough for beginners to do, with clear directions so that you won’t be left floundering

To explore the BWG Library’s collection of Online Creative Time videos, simply click here.  A new Online Creative Time is posted to Facebook every Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.  If you have younger children, Online Storytime with Miss Andrea is posted on Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m. on Facebook.

For further information, or if you have a creative project you’d like to request, please message the BWG Library through Facebook or email [email protected].
