Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will be holding a public meeting on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Zima Room of the BWG Library & Cultural Centre, 425 Holland Street West, Bradford to consider proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments and a Draft Plan of Subdivision. Please note that there may be more than one public meeting and that the matter will be dealt with in the order that it appears on the agenda.

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is in receipt of applications for approval of Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments and a residential Draft Plan of Subdivision that would facilitate the ultimate development of 70 townhouse and 6 semi-detached units for a total of 76 dwelling units. The proposed Official Plan Amendment would redesignate lands with flood hazards to the Environmental Protection (EP) designation, allow density to be controlled by the Zoning By-law, and would increase the range of the permitted forms of residential development to include semi-detached units, rear lane townhouses, and back to back townhouses.
The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment would rezone lands included in the draft plan from the Future Development “FD” Zone to the Residential Two Exception “R2-1*X”, Residential Two Exception “R2-2*X”, and Environmental Protection “EP” Zones with the purpose of implementing standards for the proposed development and recognizing natural features and hazards. The proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision would create two (2) road widening blocks, eleven (11) townhouse blocks, an open space block (1), a common elements block (1), and two (2) future development blocks. Additional information regarding the proposal is available for public inspection during regular office hours at the Office of Community Planning located at 305 Barrie Street, Unit 2, Bradford.
The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the nature of the proposal, invite public input, and answer questions regarding the applications.
Any person may attend the public meeting to make written or verbal representation in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments and Draft Plan of Subdivision. If you wish to be notified of Council’s decision regarding the proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments and Draft Plan of Subdivision, you must submit a written request to Ray Kelso at the address shown in the paragraph above.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments are passed and the Draft Plan of Subdivision is approved, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT).
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments are passed and Draft Plan of Subdivision is approved, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
