Police Week (May 15-21): Since 1970, Police services across Ontario have celebrated Police Week annually, to honour and thank the work that front-line police officers, 9-1-1 communicators, civilian staff, and all members of Ontario police services do to keep Ontarians safe and healthy. The South Simcoe Police Service (SSPS) is committed to the safety and well-being of the Towns of Bradford West Gwillimbury and Innisfil. Police Week Open House
The South Simcoe Police Service is hosting their annual Police Week Open House on Saturday, May 14, from 12:30 – 2:00 pm, at South Division – 81 Melbourne Drive, Bradford West Gwillimbury.

National Public Works Week (May 15-21): Since 1960, the third week in May has been celebrated as National Public Works Week. Municipalities across Canada use this week to educate, engage and inform the public about the essential role public works plays in the quality of life. Personal Support Worker Day (May 19): Personal Support Workers (PSW) have selflessly and tirelessly provided care to our community’s most vulnerable through an extraordinarily challenging last few years. PSWs have given so much of themselves every day, sacrificing their own health, safety, time with their families, and even their own lives to ensure the safety and care of our seniors and vulnerable.
