One of Canada’s top ranked mortgage brokerages opening in Bradford

In this week’s What’s Up Wednesday, we stop by Mortgage Partners Corporation in Bradford West Gwillimbury

One of Canada’s top ranked independent mortgage brokerages is setting up shop in Bradford West Gwillimbury this month.

Kash Toor, founder and managing partner of Mortgage Partners Corporation, is excited to open his doors and help the people of Bradford with their financial goals.

The brokerage will offer services such as mortgages, loans, home equity line of credits and Visa cards.

“I just focused on this area (Bradford), and it’s allowed me to help people and grow a team,” he said.

Prior to opening his own business, Toor was an agent at another brokerage. He said he has always been interested in the finance industry and helping educate people about money borrowing.

“There’s a lot of people that … shouldn’t have been in certain (financial) products, and I think that’s a lack of education. The banks need to implement more education and what we call it is making informed decisions for borrowers... I think I have a job for people who haven’t done things correctly, (financially),” he said.

Toor ventured off on his own and founded Mortgage Partners Corporation in 2015. He would meet with his clients and investors remotely at their homes or in his rented office space in downtown Toronto.

As his business grew, he decided he wanted to have his own space closer to his Bradford home.

With the new office located at 113 Holland St. W., right near the downtown Bradford core, he said it will be nice to have clients visit him and even bicycle to work.

His staff of four is busy getting the space ready for a grand opening April 30, which will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a visit from Mayor Rob Keffer and MPP Caroline Mulroney.

“I’ve been sneaking in here, cleaning, painting,” he said of his sleek new office setup.

Recently, Canada Mortgage Partners was recognized as one of the Top 21 Independent Brokerages in Canada for 2019 by Canadian Mortgage Professional Magazine.

“I am very happy to say the least,” he said about the recognition.

The magazine article highlights the benefits of using a smaller, independent brokerage like Toor’s.

“We’ve always been the alternative source (for money borrowing),” he said.

He said he has established great relationships with the four major banks in town and is proud to offer his clients various lending options.

“My company is based on trust, loyalty and integrity,” he said.

Toor said he works hard at looking at the fine details of his clients’ income and credit in order to help them achieve their personal financial goals — details that may be overlooked when working with a large bank or brokerage.

With the government’s new stricter mortgage rules, Toor said he has helped many clients get a mortgage.

“I’m giving you a solution that banks won’t give you,” he said. “We are really out of the box, making things work.”

Right in the same building as Mortgage Partners Corporation is Douglas Law Firm. Toor said he has partnered with them since they will likely be working so closely together.

“I’m getting busier and busier so it’s kind of convenient to have someone who can act or represent … right beside me,” he explained.
