Ward 1: Dave Wood an app developer enthusiastic about environment

We asked the Bradford West Gwillimbury municipal election candidates to introduce themselves. Here is what Wood had to say

Dave Wood is an iOS, Android, and Mac developer living in the Grand Central neighbourhood in Bradford with his wife, Sabrina, and their two dogs, Juno and Luna.

Dave studied computer science at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and has spent more than 20 years building systems, software, and management applications for a variety of industries ranging from publishing and entertainment, to finance and health.

Since 2011, Dave has been running his own development company in Bradford, creating apps for iOS and Android with a focus on emerging mobile technologies. Through his friendly charisma and tech expertise, Dave attracted the eye of some of the most prominent leading technology companies in North

America and just recently joined the research and development team at TELUS.

When he's not working, Dave likes to travel with his family and enjoys various physical pursuits, including white water kayaking, scuba diving, and tennis. He is a board game enthusiast, likes to dabble with hot sauces, and daydreams about oceanfront living.

Dave is a visionary, strategic thinker, and motivated self-starter. His enthusiasm for the environment and positive attitude toward challenges would make him a great asset to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.
