“We want to ensure that our residents can get groceries and pick up prescriptions during this time,” says Innisfil Mayor Lynn Dollin. “We’re fortunate to have such a flexible system and to have such responsive partners at Uber that were able to create this new assistance program so quickly.”

"Uber is deeply committed to supporting public transportation agencies in these trying times,” says David Reich, Head of Uber Transit. “We've been proud to partner with the Town of Innisfil since 2017 to offer safe, affordable on-demand transportation. We are glad to be able to partner with Innisfil to offer riders more options during this critical period."

Innisfil Transit is taking extra precautions to protect residents and riders.

Understanding the importance the role social distancing plays in preventing the spread of COVID-19, the ability to pool rides (sharing with other passengers) is no longer an option.

Innisfil Transit urges riders using this program (or accessing regular Innisfil Transit services) to use good judgment around utilizing this service. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, if you are self-isolated, or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please stay home. If you do use the service, practice social distancing by riding in the backseat. Be sure to sanitize your hands before entering the car and upon exiting it.

If you do not have access to a computer or mobile device, please contact Town of Innisfil Customer Service at 705-436-3740 for trip assistance.
