NEWS RELEASE
THE TOWN OF INNISFIL

In a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town of Innisfil has enacted several measures for businesses, including a business survey, accessible local business loans from Nottawasaga Futures, a free consulting service, and a resource webpage.

In order to better understand the pandemic’s effects on local business owners, a survey has been created by the town’s Economic Development team. The survey will allow the Town to quickly mobilize resources and supports where they are most needed.

Nottawasaga Futures, a small business support agency in South Simcoe County, will be making unsecured loans of up to $10,000 available to business owners in our area, which includes Innisfil, Bradford West Gwillimbury, New Tecumseth, Adjala-Tosorontio, and Essa. These loans could include low interest rates, interest-only payments, and extended payback periods. For more information, contact Andie Cote at 705-435-1540 or [email protected].

The town has also partnered with Nottawasaga Futures, and is also offering a free consulting program that allows business owners, whether they be retail, restaurants or service-based, to access resources that will help bring their offerings online. For more information, contact 1-800-509-7554 or [email protected].

“We understand the COVID-19 situation is rapidly changing and Innisfil’s small businesses are struggling,” said Lynn Dollin, Mayor of the Town of Innisfil. “The town is committed to understanding their needs, and deploying resources and supports where they require it most.”

The town has created a business-focused resource webpage. The COVID-19 Business Resources & Support page includes financial support info, tips on working remotely, and more. The website will be updated on an ongoing basis as new information and programs become available.
