David Howell's letter is a prime example of lacking basic understanding of the impact of taxation on the cost of living.
Taxation seems to be an ultimate tool/solution used by dimwitted politicians to address all social issues. Rain tax in Toronto? Vacancy tax?
Direct and indirect effects of the carbon tax are reflected in many aspects of day-to-day living expenses.
The carbon tax solves nothing, it just creates government jobs.
