LETTER: Downtown patios 'an accident waiting to happen'

'Why would anyone want to sit downtown with the noise and pollution from these large vehicles?' asks resident

Private property is the only way that patios should be allowed.

There is enough congestion now going through town and it only gets worse in the summer months. The trucks are still rolling through town and they are still turning at the four corners.

Unless we have more police presence downtown, this is an accident waiting to happen. Why would anyone want to sit downtown with the noise and pollution from these large vehicles?

Why would you take a chance that a vehicle loses control or worse scenarios that we have seen in other areas where pedestrians are targeted.

The pandemic is over and it was great that council helped the businesses through that time but it is no longer necessary. We need all lanes of traffic open, especially through the summer months.
