BradfordToday received the following notice from My Sister's Place regarding their Annual General Meeting:

Since 1987, People In Transition (Alliston) Inc., ‘My Sister’s Place’ has been in operation as a women and children’s shelter located in the Town of New Tecumseth and serving all of south Simcoe County.

‘My Sister’s Place’ is a 12-bed shelter, offering emergency shelter and crisis counselling to women and their children who are seeking safe refuge from the violence in their lives.

Our organization continues to grow and offer supports both in shelter and to the communities in our catchment areas, including crisis intervention, prevention and counselling, outreach and legal advocacy support, transitional housing, travel, education and public awareness.

We have a 24-hour per day/365 per year crisis line. Our Second Stage Housing Facility has been in full operation now since 2011 and houses up to five families/single women at a time for a period of up to one year.

Please visit our website at www.mysistersplace.ca or call the crisis line any time at (705) 435-3835.

You are invited to attend the virtual Annual General Meeting of People In Transition, My Sister’s Place on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 6 p.m. Please RSVP to [email protected] to be sent the link to the online meeting.
