A spook-tacular performance at The Elden of Bradford (16 photos)

The residents at The Elden of Bradford enjoy a festive, fun Halloween party on Thursday afternoon

The seniors at the Elden Retirement Residence celebrated Halloween yesterday with a costume contest, a band and some spooky snacks.

Early in the week, they also had a haunted house that residents could walk through on the main level of the building.

The Patrick Tevlin's Sooky New Orleans Rhythm band, comprised of a trumpeteer, banjo player, and saxophone player delighted the residents in an afternoon performance.

The band had previously attended the residence's Mardi Gras party, and were welcomed back again for Halloween.

They interacted with the crowd telling jokes in between their sing-a-long tunes like 'You are my Sunshine' and 'Blueberry Hill.'

In the evening, children were welcomed to trick-or-treat on the main floor of the residence.

Activities Coordinator, Chad Axelrod said it was a great way to celebrate the location's first ever Halloween together.
