Taste of the Grille restaurant in Lefroy celebrated its grand opening on Monday afternoon with residents and members of council

Mayor Lynn Dollin, members of council and community members gathered Monday afternoon to celebrate the grand opening of Jamaican restaurant 'Taste Of The Grille' located at 1270 Maple Rd. in Lefroy.

Owners Jason and Georgette Carter are Canadians of Jamaican descent along with their daughter Kashae, who moved to the area about four and half months
ago to build up an authentic Jamaican food experience.

A lot of hard work and planning went into the opening of the restaurant.

Georgette, with her home décor background, has re-modelled the interior and Jason, with his handyman skills, designed and built the tables on the patio as
well as the bar top in the restaurant and green wall.

"We have now added a full outdoor patio, a recent liquor licence, and a few modifications to our menu," said Jason.

Georgette added “We are planning to change our days open from five days a week to six days a week possibly this fall. We will still remain a lunch and dinner
only restaurant requiring a casual dress code as before.”

A red carpet was laid out for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to congratulate the Carters on their opening. Mayor Dollin welcomed the Carter family to Innisfil and presented them with a congratulatory plaque.

After a few words from the Carter clan, guests went inside the restaurant to enjoy the upbeat Jamaican music, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

Taste Of The Grille can be reached for ordering at (705) 290-1000. Dine In, Take Out and delivery are available through the What’s For Dinner app. They also provide catering for special events as well as space rentals.
