Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) is announcing the appointment of Barbara Steed as Interim President and CEO.

Barbara is an experienced healthcare leader, having held roles such as Executive Vice President, Patient Services and Chief Practice Officer at Oak Valley Health, and Executive Vice President, Clinical Services and VP of the Regional Cancer Program at Southlake Regional Health Centre.

Some of her accomplishments include:

  • System level leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic at the provincial and regional levels;
  • Strategic and clinical lead in the first Kids Health Alliance partnership with the Hospital for Sick Children; 
  • Redevelopment of the vision and operational plan for all hospital clinical programs.

Barbara will start her role effective May 21, 2024.
