Blue Mountain Resort is planning a new art installation and has put out a call for artists.
The resort has set aside an open area at the top of the mountain where the new art piece will be visible 365 days a year.
Artists are invited to submit proposals for the work, which must celebrate Indigenous communities and culture.
"Artists are encouraged to keep sustainability at the forefront of their designs, and keep in mind that their unique designs will be displayed outdoors through all seasons," states a news release from the resort.
The call for submissions closes July 21, 2022. The resort is offering $5,000 as well as commissioning for the work to the selected artist or artist group.
Installation of the art work will take place prior to the upcoming ski season.
