The Friends of the Library would like to thank the community for their support in last weekend’s book sale, which brought in nearly $4,843.
This popular annual winter event, hosted by the Friends, returned to the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library Feb. 16 to 18.
"The Friends were pleased to see such a great turnout and are looking forward to their next book sale later this spring," the group stated in a media release.
The sale offered visitors a variety of books, movies, puzzles and games at discount prices.
All proceeds from the sale support the Friends, a volunteer group that undertakes fundraising initiatives for the library.
If you're interested in joining the group, attend its next meeting Monday, March 4 at 7 p.m. It takes place at the library.
The group's Summer Book Sale will run at the library from June 7 to 9.
