Those living in Bond Head and Bradford's L3Z postal code area age 40+ are now eligible to book a vaccine appointment at the Bob Fallis Arena in Bradford.

Thanks to the demand from residents, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit requested and received permission from the province to expand Bradford's 'hot spot' clinics to residents age 40+.

Proof of eligibility will be required. Non-eligible people will be turned away.

These clinics use Pfizer or Moderna, as available.

If you live outside of these areas, you are still eligible for an AstraZeneca vaccine through participating pharmacies.

While eligibility has expanded, an increase in supply has not been received. Council and the health unit are advocating for more vaccines and will open additional clinics as soon as the doses arrive.

At last night's meeting of council, councillors supported the motion to expand vaccine eligibility to those living in 'hot spot' Bradford age 18+. BradfordToday will have more information on the request, once a response from the province is received.
