Bradford Farmers’ Market gets spicy for Caribbean Festival

Market to have usual offerings, plus some themed items and steel drum music

It’s hot, hot, hot!

The Bradford Farmers’ Market is celebrating summer with a Caribbean Day this July 21.

Come out to the market, located beside the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., to enjoy fresh produce, baking, farm-fresh eggs, prepared foods, local honey and maple syrup products, natural meats, the artisanal cheeses of Just Say Cheese! — and, this week, entertainment and offerings with a Caribbean flair.

Kenn Lewis will play the steel drums.

There will be flowers, Caribbean treats such as curry and and roti, and baked goods from Sweet Annabella’s and The Polish Bakery, which are planning special spicy offerings for shoppers who come out to enjoy the market.

The Bradford Farmers’ Market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, beside the library at 425 Holland St. W.
